On September 24th, Northwest Spirit Rotarians participated in our second Sparkle Up! Marking the Rotary theme for September, Basic Education and Literacy, this sparkle up's theme was literacy.
Members Brenna and Devon donated books to the little library in Dawson Creek ad bookstores like Shava Bookstore which supports the Sturgeon hospital.

Donna and her kids, and Shirley and her nephews supported the Community Bridge's Parent Child/Mother Goose program in Fort St. John with a donation of seven bags of books. And Tim, Sally, and Cathy read to their grandchildren and nephew.

Basic Education and Literacy Month is one of the Rotary Foundation's Seven Avenues of Service and Northwest Spirit was proud to do our part in supporting literacy in our communities.
